    1. It does have a nice feel to it Sarah and I can understand why the Royal Family like to stay over the summer.
I've taken more photos that I hope to publish soon.

  5. I had to go and Google it but yes. it is Balmoral. Wow - and you went inside. Did Her Majesty give you a cup of tea, LOL.

    1. It certainly was Balmoral and yes we did go inside for a cuppa... in fact we had lunch!
The flag wasn't flying so Her Majesty wasn't home. She tends to come up here in the summer months. Everything in the garden is timed to coincide with her visit. Posies and flowers from the garden throughout the Castle.
It was a fascinating day and I hope to revisit later in the summer to see it in it's full glory.
Thanks for your visit... although we're not quite Balmoral any visitor gets a cuppa here ;D
Have a great week and I'll see you soon.

    1. We were only allowed into the Ballroom but it was fascinating especially to see the Royal children's toy's on display. They had video's playing which brought the displays to life. Prince Charles had an incredible car but we weren't allowed to take photo's. But we had lunch there and wondered around the greenhouses, gardens and grounds. It was a really good day.
Thanks for taking the time to come and visit my post. I know it must be quite a task to get around everyone.
Have a great week and thanks for hosting once again.

    1. It was a great day out Kim and one I want to repeat later in the summer.
The gardens are only just waking up after winter so there's not a lot to see in the herbaceous borders or rose garden yet.
I'm in the middle of writing a Balmoral post and hope to post it within the next few days.
Have a great week and thanks for visiting my place.

    1. Thanks Darla, I was happy that I managed to get a good picture of something so steeped with history. It wasn't the best of days to take photo's due to the light or lack of it, but at least I managed to get a few reasonable ones.
I plan to return later in the summer (before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth goes to stay for her vacation) The gardens and vegetable plots are all timed to be at their best for when the Royal's visit.
Thanks for visiting and I'll see you there! ;D

    1. Hehe... oh I wish Mark,
Although I have been out in my garden over the last two days.
The weather has been glorious here (the hottest in the WHOLE of the UK yesterday) but there's still so much to do and I'm afraid the veg plot hasn't even been started!
      I know... shocking isn't it?
Have a great week and I'll just enjoy your veg plot from a distance.
