What's on Your Workdesk....WOYWW

I'm determined to be brief with my entry for 'What's on my Workdesk' this week...HA! If you know me you'll know that that is quite a challenge, but I'm going to give it a go....
This week's entry photograph isn't actually taken in my studio as previous Wednesday's, but in our junk office space. All of the boxes you can see contain photographs. Zillions of photographs in fact, recording all our events and travels from over the years.
I have started to group them together but as you can imagine it's quite a task. The trouble is when you start looking through them...oh my...the week can disappear never mind the hour!

The large blue album on the far left hand side is a scrapbook that I created for our 25th Wedding Anniversary...unfortunately it isn't complete. I had to enclose an I.O.U in the cover to say I will finish it one day ;D
I did actually join a group of ladies a few months back at a Creative Memories workshop which was fun. I actually completed three additional pages that day, but I've still got a way to go. I only have to go up to 2004 but with time going so quickly, I'd better hurry before my memory goes and I won't be able to remember events.
We're now approaching our 33rd year, so I'd better get on with it. It was such a great thing to do because it shows our kids that we actually had a life before they arrived. Oops...just reminded myself I was to keep it brief so I'll finish here today....
There surprise surprise ~ I can be brief!
If you're confused by what I'm showing you here then just click over to Julia and it'll all become clear...plus you'll be able to snoop at some amazing crafty people, their desks and what they're up to...they won't mind...honest!

Happy WOYWW everyone...have fun ;D

Good on you for sorting through, I want to do that too, as all my boy's photo's from when he was little are put away and I now want to use them for crafting. Didn't have digital cameras back then though it wasn't that long ago really. I'm going to scan them in to use. Take care, enjoy snooping! Love Zo xx 74

  16. Hi Neesie, I've been through the sorting phase, took me forever because we had photographs in drawers, albums, boxes and even a suitcase. Now my ambition is to scrap as many of them as possible before I leave this mortal coil ... much easier said than done :) Scanning them takes up a good deal of time too. What makes the task even harder is that I have this lovely digital camera and so I'm amassing even more pics on my PC ... many may never see the light of day :( Ah well, thanks for sharing. 20. I have a similar stash of old photos - perhaps even worse, because I inherited all my parents' ones, so I have many that are probably well over 100 years old. There are certainly a few from the pre-WW1 era. These days, with digital photos it is so much easier to manage them (though of course we all end up with many more to manage, don't we?)

    1. I have my parents photos too Mark but they're not in that photograph. I think the old photos are priceless but I'm thinking ours might be treasures to later generations.

  24. I'm thinking losing your memory may be the best way to finish scrapbooks! You'll be happy to put any old picture in there, because surely you must KNOW these people and you must have BEEN THERE! I made a scrapbook as a young child by cutting pictures out of magazines. I cut one picture out of a lady in pantyhose and a bra on a white bearskin rug in front of a fireplace (what magazine did I get my hands on??!). I remember being so enamored with that bearskin rug and thought those things on the lady's legs were so cool. Now I know pantyhose suck and a white bearskin rug wouldn't stay white for long!

    1. What a giggle Princess Judy,

Oh I almost forgot why I'm here, WOWW, we too have 'BIG' box's of photo's waiting to be sorted. The trouble is once they see the light of day we get side tracked with reminiscing and after a few hours they go back to their dark little world (unsorted), Oh dear, but we had a few happy hours in the process.
