This week I've decided to show you a few old photographs from my time in Australia.
(The weather here hasn't been the best for taking photo's this week)
I made the decision mainly due to the fact that my brother and his family are over in Melbourne, Australia at the moment.
Seeing his photographs has reminded me of a trip we made traveling along the Great Ocean Road.

One of the places we stopped to visit was Erskine Falls (
This is my daughter... she's not only into art, she also loves photography.

I've never seen a sign like it before or since!
Erskine Falls is like stepping back in time to the Jurassic age.
There is quite a descent to reach the waterfall, but it is worth it..

DeleteOn the day we visited it was drizzling slightly so it was very tropical. It would have been perfect for a scene in Jurassic Park!
Fascinating shots. I'm dying to do the Great Ocean Road one day. We have been to Perth several times (my wife's dad's family is there) and also to Sydney a couple of times but we have yet to investigate the middle of the country.

DeleteI've also visited Perth on numerous occasions too plus Sydney. I loved them all, but I felt right at home in Melbourne.
I've never been but it looks beautiful, one day when I retire perhaps!

DeleteDon't you just love the warning signs--not only do you have to worry about slipping and falling (which you'd expect) but now you have to worry about snakes too.

DeleteThe photo doesn't do justice to the waterfall really. It was quite a drop, but that doesn't come across in the photo.

Thanks Darren, it's a pity that the waterfall photo doesn't really show the huge drop... it's the perspective's slightly off.
DeleteI was standing on a bridge, but if I'd have been at the base then it would have been better.
Maybe I'll have to go back and retake it? It's only 12,000 miles!

Hehe me neither Jayne. I hadn't given snakes a second thought until I saw that sign. I wish the photo came with sound as the water crashed onto the rocks below. It was quite high although the photo doesn't really show that.

It was an incredible place to visit Mersad, just like going back to the Jurassic period. The waterfall was the icing on the cake and such a fantastic end to the long trek.
