This is how I left my studio on Wednesday morning... I'm missing it, but there's work to be done.
My daughter is flying from one nest to another within Edinburgh, so the Clan is meeting up to give her a hand!
As you can see I decided to revisit painting the wildflower meadow with acrylic paints before I left.
I feel much happier with this one, especially with a few more little additions, but I've still got a lot to learn.
Because I've been hanging on to summer for as long as I possibly could, I thought I'd include a butterfly and swallows.
Autumn has arrived... so now on to the glorious autumnal colour display.
Before I go Muffin wanted you to see her on holiday.
I think she's totally confused with what's happening, but coping.
Enjoy your weekend everyone and I hope to see you back at the studio again soon.
As usual I'm linking up with Paint Party Friday.

good luck with the move! Your meadow is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, it seems quite some time since I painted it now. Move went smoothly too ;D
DeleteThe painting is fabulous! Daughter is so lucky to have her Clan around to help with the move. And poor McMuffy left behind. But she is looking good, like she's been to the groomers recently. And maybe eyeing that delicious looking loaf! Have a wonderful week. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks Nan, the move is all done and she's settling into her new nest now. It was great to all be together and we enjoyed our stay although it was hard work. Oh McMuffy wasn't left behind... she had to be involved too. No show without punch!
DeleteShe has been groomed recently and as usual getting away with far too much with that cute look!
I wish you a wonderful week too :D
Love the new canvas. Muffy will probably be glad to be home where she can nap--LOL! Dogs and cats can't na when there's so much going on. Good luck to your daughter with her move. :)
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Rita, it seems like ages since I painted that scene now with so much happening over the weekend. The move went very well too.
DeleteMuffy did really well considering because she was totally confused with all the changes. I think as long as she's with us, she's happy, but we're home now and she's settled in front of the fire snoozing away.
Dearest Denise,
ReplyDeleteyour meadow makes me dream and how about your Muffin, he's simply adorable, I'd love to embrace and kiss him, I wonder how fluffy he is !
Hope you're having a beautiful evening I'm sending hugs and ever much love on your days to come,
with utmost gratitude
Xx Dany 🌰🍁🍂
Hello Dany, thank you for your kind words about my meadow.
DeleteMuffin is a very fluffy pup although she's been clipped just recently. I know for a fact that she would love hugs because she loves nothing more than a fuss being made of her!
We arrived back home just a few hours ago, so we're ready to settle down and enjoy the evening (with the fire blazing of course 🌰🍁🍂).
I love your autumnal images ;D
your painting is looking good :) and the bread looks pretty good too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer, it seems so long ago since I painted that scene and there were actually two deli loaves on the table, but they didn't last long!
DeleteI love your work space and what you created.
ReplyDeleteThank you Latane, it's a great space with a view I adore.
DeleteI really do love it when you show your art area. It is so pretty and inspiring, like your painting. Good luck with your daughter's move.
ReplyDeleteHehe... I'm glad you like to see my space Nicole because I love it too. The move went very smoothly and she's settling into her new nest as I type. Meanwhile I'm looking forward in getting back to my art, studio and catching up visiting everyone.
DeleteA wonderful workspace and a great canvas and those doggie is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind word Susi,
DeleteI can verify that Muffin is adorable and I love my studio... I'm looking forward to getting back in there soon.
Your miniature painting is very sweet, but not as sweet as your cute Muffin. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much Arnoldo,
DeleteI apologise for taking so long to reply to your visit. This been a little crazy over here, but hopefully things will settle down soon.
