I saw these little beauties rise up from between a gap in the patio paving stones two days ago.
The photo doesn't show how tiny they actually are.
We are heading home tomorrow, back to Scotland after an emotional week having to say a final goodbye to Granddad.
Thanks for visiting
The mushrooms look huge from that angle. You must have had to crouch down really low. So sorry about Grandad x
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment... it was a sad time.
DeleteThe mushrooms do look huge, but they were so tiny in reality.
Those mushrooms are so pretty and I love the sunset/sunrise photo. So sorry for your loss x
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise, the mushrooms caught my eye when they first appeared. They were so tiny and thankfully I did capture them when I did because the next day they had disappeared.
DeleteThose mushrooms look huge from the angle you take them. Sounds like a very emotional week away for you.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very emotional time and in fact the whole of October was quite a challenge. I'm just glad that it's over.
DeleteI thought taking that particular angle would be great as they were so tiny in real life. They actually shrivelled and died the very next day, so I was happy that I'd captured the shot when I did.
The tiny mushrooms looks beautiful. x #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThey were so cute and they caught my eye. I think there's something about mushrooms. I just love to photograph them.
Deleteso hard to say good by,,,,,
ReplyDeletethose mushrooms have very spindly legs lol,, was this " on your belly shot " lol,,
It was indeed Laurie, but he had been in a home for a few years and wasn't really here... he slightly slipped away.
DeleteI have to confess it wasn't quite a belly shot, but certainly a real crouch down and looking at a strange angle to make sure they were actually in the shot!
Such lovely photos - and my heart aches for your sadness.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs
Di xx

ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and comment John,
DeleteI thought the sunset photo was quite appropriate.
Granddad was actually my Father-in-law... he was just always referred to as Granddad.
Great photos, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Sending hugs #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, for visit and comment.
DeleteHe had been admitted to hospital two weeks previously, so we had a little time to become costumed to the idea that he was slipping away.
What a great angle on the mushrooms. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad Neesie xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy, he had been ill for a few weeks previously, so we were prepared for the worst.
DeleteI had to get down on the ground for the right angle of the mushrooms... they were so tiny.
