My Sunday Photo... Tiny Mushrooms

I saw these little beauties rise up from between a gap in the patio paving stones two days ago.
The photo doesn't show how tiny they actually are.
We are heading home tomorrow, back to Scotland after an emotional week having to say a final goodbye to Granddad.

I'm linking up with My Sunday Photo
Thanks for visiting

  1. The mushrooms look huge from that angle. You must have had to crouch down really low. So sorry about Grandad x

The mushrooms do look huge, but they were so tiny in reality.

    1. Thanks Louise, the mushrooms caught my eye when they first appeared. They were so tiny and thankfully I did capture them when I did because the next day they had disappeared.

    1. It was a very emotional time and in fact the whole of October was quite a challenge. I'm just glad that it's over.
I thought taking that particular angle would be great as they were so tiny in real life. They actually shrivelled and died the very next day, so I was happy that I'd captured the shot when I did.

    1. It was indeed Laurie, but he had been in a home for a few years and wasn't really here... he slightly slipped away.
I have to confess it wasn't quite a belly shot, but certainly a real crouch down and looking at a strange angle to make sure they were actually in the shot!

    1. Thanks for your visit and comment John,
I thought the sunset photo was quite appropriate.
Granddad was actually my Father-in-law... he was just always referred to as Granddad.

    1. Thanks Jane, for visit and comment.
He had been admitted to hospital two weeks previously, so we had a little time to become costumed to the idea that he was slipping away.
