The first day of October brought an ideal start to the day... a beautiful Autumnal scene.
A rainbow stretching right across the farmland.
I've always said that this house was my lottery win and here's the proof.
If you look closely you can see that the end of the rainbow actually does land in the field right next to our house. It still hasn't stopped me thinking that maybe hubby should go and investigate... just in case there is a pot of gold there!
I hope you have sunshine and rainbows too this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by at my place.
The rainbow over the field makes the scene look positively idyllic. It definitely feels like it's autumn now!
ReplyDeleteI adore this view and never grow tired of looking at it Tim.
DeleteI love rainbows - there's just something about them that never fails to make me smile. Love how the end of the rainbow has landed in the field next to your house - I would have been tempted to go and hunt for the pot of gold too! :-)
ReplyDeleteI feel the same Louise. In fact I was chatting on the phone to my sister when it appeared and I promptly told her I needed to go to capture it. Thankfully she knows what I'm like and understood.
DeleteThat is such a beautiful image - and the rainbow is so clear. I would have felt the same about the gold!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just Victoria, I love it. I can't help singing 'Fields of Gold' by Sting since I saw it!
DeleteWith all the sun and showers today I was hoping to capture one of these, but never saw one. Enjoying your photo instead.
ReplyDeleteIt was a day of numerous rainbows here Fiona, but I think I caught the best one. I'm totally aware that you have to seize the moment with a rainbow, because before you know it... it disappears.
DeleteThat's why I ended my telephone conversation to my sister with a 'gotta go'!
Seeing a rainbow across the sky is always a reason to stop and take the scene in #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteWell indeed Martyn and that's why I ended my telephone conversation with my sister so abruptly. It's a good job she knows me and wasn't offended. I'm so happy that I managed to capture the image. I think it might well be one of my favourites.
DeleteGorgeous photo! No rainbows here, but the weather definitely felt a lot colder for the start of October yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWe had the coldest night so far last night Sarah. There's no denying it autumn is truly here. We have a fantastic sunny start to today though. Don't you just love Autumn?
DeleteHi Neesie, I love everything about your photos. The rainbow, grey sky and hay bales. The views from your house are better than a lottery win.
ReplyDeletexx
Thank you so much Debbie, I'm really pleased with the outcome too. It might well be one of my favourites. The views are spectacular and I appreciate them every day.
DeleteGlorious countryside photos, I love the first photo
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
Thanks Darren, I knew as soon as I saw it that it would be my Sunday photo. Thanks for hosting and keeping me inspired to view life through a camera lens.
DeleteIt looks like you have a really gorgeous view outside your house and that rainbows just made it even prettier!
ReplyDeleteI do indeed and one I never tire of. I know it's special so I try to appreciate it everyday.
DeleteThat is one gorgeous view - wish I had it outside my home.
ReplyDeleteI know Carol aren't I lucky? The view from each side of our property is beautiful. I certainly feel that I won the lottery when we managed to secure the house. To buy a house in Scotland is a little like a lottery too. You just have to put a sealed bid in and keep everything crossed that you've got the highest!
DeleteOh, how I love these gorgeous photos of yours, dearest Denise, the rainbow seems always to be such a good omen, isn't it ?!?
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying your Sunday with gladness, I'm sending blessings on your coming week ahead, thinking of you with love
Xx Dany
I hope it is a good omen Dany, because that day there were quite a few. I'm so thrilled that I managed to capture it because I was on the phone to my sister at the time and bid her a swift bye in order to grab my camera! It's okay though because she knows what I'm like and I think she forgives me.
DeleteBeautiful! You really have won the lottery!! :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't I Rita, I'm so lucky. Every day the scene changes and with each season. There's always something to capture the eye.
Deletegreat photos :) very rare to see the end/start of the rainbow, lucky, might be gold there after all :p
ReplyDeleteI know Jennifer, I only saw the one end at first but then it just opened up and voila there it was in all it's glory.
DeleteGood job that I have an understanding sister because I was busy chatting to here at the time and just dumped her, whilst I grabbed the camera!
Lovely capture =) #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThanks pixiedusk. I think it might be one of my favourites.

My pleasure Sue, thanks for hosting and your visit.
DeleteHey Neesie - thinking of you and your gorgeous house! I love the round hay bales too - very lovely :)
ReplyDeleteWren x
Thanks Wren, it's been a little crazy around here lately... yes even more than usual, so this scene had a calming effect. I think it might be one of my favourites.
DeleteI am loving this bright Autumn weather

Yes, it looks like a lotto ticket, lol. But beautiful scenic shots nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful captures! I love rainbows, something magical about them.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place to live :)
