What's on Your Workdesk ~ WOYWW

Hmm...well I'm a little ashamed to show my desk this week for numerous reasons. Mainly it’s a mess, plus the fact that after being away for the weekend everything has been dumped on it. There's been no art work done here for what seems like years, but I know I'm slightly exaggerating here (Just between you and me I tend to do that ~ a lot!)
I apologise for not visiting everyone last week, but I hope to be back to normal from next week (normal for me???...now there's a frightening thought) If you popped by my place ~ thanks....I'll repay the compliment as soon as I can.
You may now realise when you see this photo that the sun doesn't always shine in the land of Oz. We've had two days of wintery weather. The thunder rain this morning was torrential. But that's Melbourne for you...the weekend on the beach...today snuggled up inside.
The garden lounger cushions just landed on the table too. I think they'll hibernate now until spring but not on my desk! ;(

I've got lots of creative idea's fighting to be set free so hopefully next week you'll be amazed! Well I will be :O
Oops...forgot to display my WOYWW badge. Julie kindly sent one to me...12,000 miles! I was so excited when I saw the envelope in my post box. Once I find a suitable spot to honour it I'll let you see. Thanks Julie I really appreciate it.
I've also started to fill the blank wall opposite my desk as an inspiration wall. Only three things stuck there so far but it's a work in progress...like my life!

So maybe if you want to see more productive creative workdesks, then just click over to Julia and you'll be able to snoop at some amazing crafty people, their desks and what they're up to...they won't mind...honest!
For all those Australian's and New Zealand readers...Enjoy your ANZAC day ;D

  1. Neesie, my worktop is always a mess, especially when I am creating!! I can't get what I want to down on paper fast enough. When I cook, I'm a clean as you go cook, but when it comes to my artwork, I get completely lost in the bliss of what I am creating. It is not until I come up for air that I realize the mess I've made!! xxoo

    1. Oh Marie, that sounds sheer heaven to me.
I'm going to need to calm down when I do start and not rush in...that'll be my challenge.
Hope you're week is going well...I'm so sorry I haven't even had a peek to see what you're up to...but I will soon :D

I'm hoping after tomorrow I'll be able to spend some time in there...although don't tell anyone I did nip in earlier ;D
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have fun with WOYWW :)

  3. Now that is one desk that wont take long to clean up, then you can get creative and make a bigger mess of the right kind.

  4. ooh loving having a nose to see what I can see on your desk! It's definitely not spring weather here today, it's torrential rain and blustery wind, so am glad am staying in nosing through the desks! Seeing your lounger cushions reminds me of my parents conservatory, where I can often find piles of lounger cushions too! Take care & enjoy WOYWW. Zo xx 77

I would love to be just browsing through the desks but it's my SiL's last night so only just getting snippets as she's packing.
Sneaky I know but I'm hooked!
Thanks for stopping by ~ enjoy snooping ;D

  5. If you call that messy, don't look at my desk before the cleanup! I hope you can get to art again soon, nothing worse than having ideas and not being able to get to them.
    Have a great week.

  6. Your desk looks no different as far as mess is concerned, mine often looks a lot worse.

My son lives in Mornington, so I know all about Melbourne weather, the difference between you and us in the UK is though, that here it's supposed to be spring and with you it is autumn... Anyway, happy WOYWW #34

    1. Hi Astrid,
I hadn't really got going with my work desk when I had to stop so there's lots to collect and organise once I get back to it...I might well have more mess then.
It's a small world isn't it. We had a trip to Rye on the Mornington pennisula at the weekend. I'll be writing a post about it later in the week.
It sound's like we're having the same kind of weather...yukky wet and cold. Not good for spring though :$
Have a good time visiting everyone's workdesk and thanks for stopping by. I love having visitors ;D

  9. It does seem the 'norm' here in the Uk to be wild, wet and windy but I guess that is why we talk about the weather so much! You have such a lovely workspace, I hope you get chance to do some art soon. thanks for the snoop! Anne #61

    1. It sounds like your discribing a fun park Redanne :) Wild, wet and windy! It looks so much better here today and thankfully the temperature is set to rise a little. I need 16 degree's or over to be a happy bunny I'm afraid.
I'm looking forward to getting into the workspace before the end of this week. And here's a little secret just between you and me...I snook in there yesterday for an hour whilst my hubby took his sister out for some sibling bonding ;D
Have fun with WOYWW and thanks for popping over to visit. Enjoy :D

    1. I knew someone would ask that question and I suppose you are the expert snooper, so it's only right it should be you Julia.
I threw some of my art supplies into it ie pens, paper, watercolours and idea's journal for our weekend at the beach, just in case the weather was bad or everyone decided to leave me in peace to be creative. It didn't happen.
The bag is from a swimming costume shop that has the best swimwear. They have designs for all shapes and sizes. You can also buy everything seperate ie tops and bottoms. The quality is fantastic too. Pity they don't sell the bodies to go with them ~ like their adverts!
Thanks so much for taking a peek...I know how many visits you make. I am trying but it'll be from next week onwards when I've finished my hostess duties.
Happy WOYWW and thanks again for my badge :D

    1. Hi Rita,
I just wish that my mess was from creating and not just being the dumping ground most handy from entering into the house ;)
Maybe over the next week I can get the right kind of mess going on.
      Enjoy your WOYWW :D

Enjoy your week and watch the happy veggies grow.

  15. Not a messy desk at all. Shame those garden cushions need to hibernate soon - in the UK we're hopeful that we'll soon be able to get ours out, although atm we are getting a lot of rain ... to make up for all the dry weather we had - (Hazel, #173) x

    1. It is a great shame Hazel that my cushions had to come indoors, but maybe we'll manage a few more sittings if we light the fire? ;) I'm hanging on to the last minute before I give in to winter! (although its hardly like a UK winter)

I heard that you have a hosepipe ban in some area's which is unbelieveable this early in the year but so typical.
My 11,000 litre rainwater tank keeps me going during the summer months. You really get to appreciate how precious water is here.

    1. Yep the cushions are about to be stored away in the cupboard until the warm weather returns.
That'll free up more space although I haven't collected too much art supplies yet...I'm still new to this game.
Learning from the WOYWW masters I think I've got a lot to learn!

  21. I personally think cleared desks are over rated cause when I clear mine up I can't find a darn thing. I am one of those visual people that have to have everything out where I can see it to play with it. Love that big window beside your desk. Would love to have one in my craft room. Have a great week next week and create and craft it up! Vickie #41

    1. The location of my desk (which is really two kitchen tables pushed together) isn't ideal because the desks I've seen on WOYWW all seem to be up against a wall, with lots of shelving nearby. The wall I'd have to squish up to is the wall that the door opens up on to the rear garden, so not ideal.
A good point is the other side has yet two more big windows ~ making the light brilliant.
I'm taking the softly softly approach with my supplies as I'm not sure about my creative journey just yet. I'm letting it lead the way and hopefully it won't do a runner like before.
Thanks for visiting Vickie...have a great weekend ;D

  22. Hi Ros...well I have turned the heating on! The house we are currently in is a double brick house, which is cool in the hot weather but really quite cold in the winter. The fire is a constant companion just now. I hate to be cold.
I've just remembered your wood shed, so you'll be having lots of lovely real fires. Unfortunately mine is a gas fire...it just doesn't compare.
My visitor is on her return flight to the UK as I type this so once I've had a rest and done some housework, I'll be free.
I'm really looking forward to getting back to it!
Enjoy your cosy weekend, although I believe the temperature is about to rise again :D
