What's on Your Workdesk ~ WOYWW

I'm amazed that I've actually managed to spend some time in my studio this week...whooho!
And it feels so good. ;D

I'm juggling between the jobs but my reward is to spend time being creative too. It's not ideal but for now it seems to be working.  Pity washing my tea mug wasn't on my list of jobs to do before taking this photo...I just kept refilling the same mug as the tea kept going cold. Yuk!
Normally I drink my cuppa whilst it’s still like molten lava. But when I'm being creative, it's the only time I tend to forget to drink...at any other time it would be a hanging offence.
Note the vinetage mobile phone...no super duper iphone here...(sob sob)...maybe one might appear soon but I have an affection for this trusty friend. It keeps my schedule, sends me reminders, has photos that I can't take off due to my daughter not remembering the security code, alarms to keep me on time and treasured texts that I've saved. Yes, I know an iphone could do all this plus make great toast, but I haven't got one yet! So I can't compare only turn 50 shades of green when I see someone intently connected to their's.

See what I received last week in the post...I now feel a proper member of WOYWW. Julia kindly sent my badge....all 12,000 miles! Thanks again Julia ;D

Surprisingly I'm not zentangled out yet, but I feel there may well be a timeline on these but I keep coming up with designs that I'd like to do. Yesterday I produced the King Protea plant which I hope to finish today.
I've also completed an A3 size garlic to hang in my kitchen.

Well if you are wondering what I am going on about visiting desks, pop over to the lovely Julia and join in...there's so much talent out there plus if you're a sticky beak nosey parker like me, then you'll love snooping around everyone's desk.
Have fun, smile and pass on some thoughtful act (make someone's day) :D

  1. Hi Neesie! The King protea is looking good! I usually change my phone when it conks out because I hate adjusting to new buttons and stuff! The one I have is starting to conk out and a few days ago all my texts disappeared! I think I'm going to have to buy a new one! :^) patsy (#11)

Wow...how quick are you? Visiting minutes after I hit the button...thanks!
I'm trying to head back to the protea but it doesn't look like I'll make it today. Especially if I'm to get ahead and try to visit everyone this week ;)
I've actually dropped my phone numerous times and it still keeps on working! I haven't the heart to flush it like so many people do :D

There's one shell in particular that has the outer casing broken which reveals the coil within...I just couldn't resist bringing it home for a future drawing session.
Thanks for popping over to visit. Have fun with WOYWW :D

  15. Hi Neesie!I love your Zentangling.I don't think you'll get tired of them in a hurry.I draw most nights, and have been doing so ever since I discovered Zentangles 18 months or so ago.
When I was teaching, we rarely got to finish a cuppa in our breaks(when we werewn't on yard duty that is), so I'd take mine back to the classroom and gulp down tea while waiting for the children to line up at the door.hence by the end of the week there was quite an array. Yuk!!Now I clean my cups with tooth tablets(for false teeth). Gets the stains off by next day.Sparkling clean cup. Thanks for visiting, and leaving lovely comments.

  21. Hi Neesie, your zentangles are amazing I would have loved to do these when `I was younger, don't think I would have the patience now though. I have a bit of a thing about tea rings in my cup, if my hubby makes me a cuppa and has only rinsed the cup out the tea ring shows up again half way through drinking it and it really puts me off.I find though, that the more thoroughly you clean the cup the worse the problem gets so he says its my own fault lol Oh well such is life.Happy Zentagleing.

  28. Have we got to the point in life where we can have "vintage mobile phones"??? I don't have one, vintage or new. I just can't think of anyone I want to talk to that much. I wonder if other people who answer a phone for a living think they are evil? (phones in general, not just mobile ones). The plant is looking good.
