I Spy With My Little Eye...something beginning with P

I have no idea what my friend put in my cuppa this morning after our walk, but my...oh my...I've been like a dog running on lino ever since!
I've completed numerous tasks and chores that needed my attention and some that didn't...but I just went for it anyway!
It could be something to do with the fact that the sun has made an appearance today. The temperature is nearly up to my tolerance level...just skirting below at 15 degrees celsius. Tomorrow it's supposed to hit the button ~ 16...whoohoo....watch me go!

I've mentioned before when you're out walking how easy it is to miss things....you just don't see things unless you open your eyes...like the uneven pavement until you trip, or the puddle until you're knee deep in muddy water...and that's just what happened on our Sunday morning walk.
I admired this beautiful huge tree as we walked past, but then my OH said...Psst....'look'!

Now it's your turn to play...can you see it?

Here's a clue....

Let's sneak in and take a closer look...

That is one cosy critter....

Here's a picture so that you know what the other end looks like?
Yep it's a possum!
I know they're very controversial creatures...some people love them whilst others hate them.
I have to agree I think I might have a problem if one chose to nest in my roof space or attic...making an incredible smell and mess, but so far they've stayed at a distance so I'm okay about them.
It's very difficult to get a good photo as they are nocturnal marsupials and therefore as this model above demonstrates very well...snooze during the day!

(This photograph is curtisy of unisa.edu.au )

I think I may need a snooze now I've sat down....
I hope you have a productive day too :D

    1. Yeah Anne, unfortunately they tend to like people's attic, garage and roof space.
They also have a tendency to decimate veggie plots and plants!
Good to see you...have a great week :D

    1. Yep May...cute as long as they stay outside!!!
It's unusual for my hubby to notice something before me...I always have my blog head on, but this time he did well.
The movement of 'Possum Pete's' breathing caught his attention.
      Have a great day :D

I'm looking at your city view, it's 5.42 on Tuesday a.m and a beautiful clear sky :) It's still Monday evening here - not quite 9pm and still light outside. Weird, haha. Have a great day :0)

    1. That's one of the fascinating things about blogland isn't it...you can be anywhere in the world, but still be close and in touch!
I love to hear all about different time zones, climate and different cultures.
I suppose it comes from being on the move for 23 years!!! ;D
Have a great day and I'll catch up with you later. :D

    1. This little cutie isn't nesting near our house, but we do have others nearby...so far they're staying outside.
I've got my fingers crossed that's where they'll stay! ;D

  8. They are so very cute! Despite the cuteness factor, I would not want one in my space. Curled up in the crook of a tree--priceless! :)

    1. I have to admit that is a cute photo...but they don't always look like that.
I'm always surprised when I see a fully grown adult, which can be bigger than your average domestic cat!
      Have a great day ;D

  10. He is a cutie snoozing away, however did you find him? But like my raccoons, I prefer them to be away from my house!waving hi from the sandy beaches of Florida ;0

    1. It was the movement of his breathing that caught my hubbies eye. It's not like him to notice these things usually it's me pointing things out...so he did really well.

Oh I remember watching the raccoons when on holiday in Canada. What fun...but also how distructive! They finally managed to work out how to crawl along a very thin branch to our hummingbird feeder.
What a laugh when the branch broke after his pal came to join in! Both were so stunned but then they'd brought the feeder down with them...so they got their reward.
They came back every night to see what pickings were on the menu. ;D
